
Black America’s largest media company Urban One, Inc. (NASDAQ: UONEK and UONE) reports 4th quarter 2017 results and the numbers will make happy stockholders.
There was a slight decrease in revenue from the previous year and a 2.8% increase in operating income. For the quarter, the firm had $121.3 million in revenue. For the entire year, the sales were over $456 million dollars, leaving a net EBITDA of $136 million for stockholder value.
The company owns urban market radio stations and Black American oriented internet sites which it refers to as its broadcast and digital business lines. The Digital segment earned $26 million from web sites named Interactive One, The Black radio division ( do you know Tom Joyner) earned $186 million. The Reach Media marketing division earned $52 million and the Cable television ( do you know TV ONE or Ralph Martin ) $191 million.
TV One, LLC (tvone.tv), a television network reaches more than 59 million households. Urban One radio stations are 56 broadcast stations in 15 urban markets in the United States. Reach Media, Inc. Interactive One, LLC (ionedigital.com) reaches millions of urban enthusiasts and Blacks each month. Urban One’s content touches 82% of Black Americans throughout the country.
